Hermosa Beach Pride at LGBTQ+ Roundtable with Al Muratsuchi

Betty Elle (President, South Bay LGBTQ Center) and Dom Manshadi (VP, Hermosa Beach Pride)

On Thursday, February 27, 2025, Hermosa Beach Pride had the honor of participating in a crucial roundtable discussion with Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi to address the evolving needs of our LGBTQ+ community. The event, hosted by the South Bay LGBTQ Center, brought together passionate leaders and advocates dedicated to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for all. Special shoutout to Betty Elle, of the South Bay LGBTQ Center, for organizing such a meaningful gathering!

Representing Hermosa Beach Pride at the discussion was our Vice President, Dom Manshadi, who contributed to conversations about the challenges and opportunities facing our community. Topics ranged from policy advancements to support for LGBTQ+ youth, mental health resources, and the ongoing fight for equality. Assemblymember Muratsuchi listened attentively and engaged in insightful dialogue, reinforcing his commitment to standing with us in our mission.

In addition to participating in these important discussions, we were proud to present a $1,000 donation to the South Bay LGBTQ Center. This contribution reflects our deep appreciation for the incredible work they do in providing resources, support, and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community in the South Bay area.

Events like these remind us why community engagement and advocacy matter. By working together, we can ensure that the voices of LGBTQ+ individuals are heard, valued, and supported at every level. Hermosa Beach Pride remains committed to fostering positive change, and we look forward to continuing this important work alongside our allies and leaders.

Thank you to the South Bay LGBTQ Center for hosting, to Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi for his continued support, and to everyone who participated. Together, we are making a difference!
