about us

We Are Your hermosa beach pride Board

What began as a group of folks wanting a PRIDE in Hermosa Beach in 2021, sprouted into a 501(c)3 nonprofit responsible for putting on HERMOSA BEACH PRIDE every June.

Our mission is to engage and inspire the South Bay community to support equity and self-love.

In addition to June Pride, we host events to build community, advocate for our LGBTQIA+ folks in the South Bay, and raise money to support LGBTQ resources and orgs.

  • Abby Bartlett, Secretary - Hermosa Beach Pride org

    Abby Bartlett

    SECRETARY

Abby Bartlett has called Hermosa Beach home since 2013, arriving from Texas after graduating from Baylor University with a love of fast-moving ideas and a curiosity for the Silicon Beach tech scene. What started as a career adventure quickly became something deeper—a place where community, creativity, and connection felt right at home.

By day, Abby is a product manager and product leader who’s helped build digital experiences used by millions. By nature, she’s a people person. The skills she values most—bringing people together, organizing chaos, and turning ideas into action—are the same ones she believes build strong, inclusive communities.

In the wake of the pandemic, Abby leaned fully into community-building, co-founding Women’s and Pride ERGs at her company. That experience ignited a lasting passion for community engagement and advocacy—and reinforced just how powerful it can be when people feel seen, supported, and connected.

At her core, Abby is a connector. She loves creating spaces where people feel welcome, energized, and free to be themselves—often bringing contagious laughter along the way. She’s deeply grateful for the vibrant LGBTQ+ community she’s found in Hermosa Beach and is proud to support Hermosa Beach Pride’s mission of visibility, celebration, and inclusion.

Outside of work, Abby is a day-one Angel City FC ⚽️ supporter and is always down to catch live music—on the pier, at a packed venue, or at a queer event somewhere in LA. You might also spot her chasing her cats, Squish and Marge, down Manhattan Ave as they make their rounds for treats and trouble.
